The headline said, “ Why you never golf in 850º F weather.” The ad that displayed a golf club with the shaft reduced to fine black powder. That’s because graphite oxidizes at that temp. The ad was on behalf of an Industrial Gasket maker. And I didn’t think they’d buy it. Jim did. He sold that one and two more in the campaign. And I bought him a very nice steak dinner. Gladly. There are a couple of people without whom I would not be in business. Jim is one of them.
